What do u think of this cake?
I was very excited to make this
cake happened. It was for my sister’s 17th birthday..and yes she is
17 not so baby right? Hehehehee…
I started with baking the sponge
cake and to be honest I prepared 2 different recipes. The first one claimed
that the cake will be fluffy as a cotton ball and the 2nd one just a
normal sponge cake. So……..with full enthusiasm, I started baking. Sadly, the
cake came out..errrr toooo soft and egg-ish. Failed! So I baked another one…chocolate
sponge cake and thanked God it came out well..pheewww. Next is frosting!! I
used buttercream frostings. It got messy kinda easily; my skills still have
LOTS of room for improvement.
Now……….the most fascinating
part!!! Fondant on! Well, I’d been searching over and over the webs for inspirations.
The best one yet is making this Hello Kitty figure. I think I did it? Though there’s
something wrong somewhere with my hello kitty, ooppsss ;p
OH!!! The ribbon came out well
heheheheehe. Lovin’ it!
I finished everything with the
table and myself covered in corn starch all over at around 1130 pm. And as
usual, I can’t stop staring at it. There’s this one feeling of contentment+fulfilled+zealous
–ish I don’t know how to explain..you know what I mean everytime you finish
something. Though it’s not that good, but it is your effort J
Candles were lighted. Wish were
wished. She (my sister) like it and I am happy J
